Bridge Financing

Equity or short-term debt financing typically raised within months of an anticipated public offering or private placement, the bridge is meant to "bridge" a company to the next round of financing. Bridge financing is commonly used when the cash flow from a sale of an asset is expected after the cash outlay for the purchase of an asset. A convertible bridge note is converted into the next round of financing at a discount.
